Computer skills required: Ability to use a mouse.
Includes: Identify items that are clickable, browse the Web, visit a specific "Web site," find information, make Google the Home Page, explore news, find definitions, find local stores, play with maps, search superpages.com by name and by phone number. Additional exercises include "How Stuff Works," Evaluating Web sites, and mouse exercises.

Computer skills required: Ability to use a mouse and some Web experience.
Includes: Create your "Username" on MyWay.com; compose, send, read, and reply to email messages; create a Signature and an Address Book entry, and send an Attachment; register and use www.GCFLearnFree.org.
My Way was chosen as the free Web-based email service because My Way does not collect personal information and it has no ads. GCFLearnFree.org was chosen as the free online learning service because if offers both career and computer training in English and in Spanish.
- Writing Using a Computer
Computer skills required: Ability to use a mouse and some Web experience.
Includes: Create documents, change fonts, copy and paste; perform some tasks using the Toolbar, drop-down menus, and keyboard shortcuts; save and print files; include a document in an email message, and learn on your own at www.GCFLearnFree.org.
WordPad was chosen as the word processing program because it is on most computers that run the Windows operating system.
